Elizabeth 'Betty' Simmonds was a wonderful mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. A kind hearted person who raised many thousands of pounds for charity by her handicrafts. Betty was fun to be with and had a great sense of humour. She will be sadly missed. After a series of illnesses mum passed away at the Hospice after receiving the most wonderful care from the nursing staff and volunteers. She would have wished that we do all we can to raise funds for the Hospice as a lasting memory of her. She was always thinking of others before herself. The beach hut seems empty without her presence but we know she is looking down on us and making sure everything is in order.
